Like the "S" Series, the "H/HF" Series is designed for more than just the standard products. When particle size, consistency and wetness are a problem due to the viscous or sticky nature of the product, the "H/HF" Series can dramatically improve results. Or, if greater capacity is needed for less troublesome materials, the H/HF can provide the same high production quality in bigger batches.

The "H/HF" models come with the same roller tensioning system for maintaining a constant gap as in the "S" Series models. And, all of the same roller and scraper blade materials are available.*

A Unique Feature

EXAKT’s other Three Roll Mills have a single motor that drives the rollers in a predetermined speed ratio. The "H/HF" models have two frequency inverters controlling two separate drive motors so that the speed ratios can be independently set between rollers. So for a particularly thick, sticky product the speed ratio, and therefore the friction, between the rollers can be increased to deliver more shearing force as the agglomerates/particles pass between the rollers.

Additional Features

• Automatic Product Dispenser
  This newly developed feature provides automatic dispensing of product into a running mill from a containment system eliminating the need for an operator to continually feed product into the rear gap.

• Heating & Cooling System for the Rollers
  All EXAKT "H/HF" Series models can be equipped with an internal circulation system for heating or cooling the rollers. This must be installed at the factory during initial construction. EXAKT also provides a heating/cooling device if a chilled or hot water source is not available.
  

• Solvent Dispensers
  With increased viscosity of product and increased friction, the additional heat can be generated along the plastic guides that direct the flow of product. The product dispensers deliver additional liquid or solvent to the area most likely to become dry, resulting in a smoother flow of product and ease in cleaning.

• Explosion Proofing
  EXAKT Three Roll Mills can be manufactured to meet explosion proof requirements upon request.

Note* The "H/HF" Series are only available with 120 mm diameter rollers. Rollers are available in two lengths — 250 mm and 450 mm.
