EXAKT AW110 |
Accurate to within ± 1.5 microns, the
system uses abrasive papers and films to prepare the required surface.
The AW110 Control allows the user to set the machine to grind to predetermined
levels then automatically shut off.

EXAKT 420 CL |
After the advent of the "Contact Point" technology for the
Cutting Systems, EXAKT used that knowledge to create a reduction in force,
and its advantages, for the grinding process. The result was not a "point"
but rather a "line" and the results were just as impressive.
Form
GrindingIn some production settings a shape rather than a straight cut is required. EXAKT has successfully converted its Rotary System into a production form grinder for when a very precise shape is needed at a cut surface. In a single operation, the material can be shaped without distortion between the various materials and a high degree of precision can be maintained.
Just as the "contact point" technology dramatically improved the performance of the equipment and results in sample cutting, "contact line" has equally improved the grinding process.
The reduction of the active grinding surface from the entire surface of the sample to a single line allows the same level of grinding to take place, yet with a force greatly reduced.
Even grinding the most disparate materials is successfully achieved using EXAKTs unique method of stepping the sample into the grinding surface and utilization of the entire abrasive surface. Regardless of how difficult the sample material is to grind, the sample advancing system can be automatically set to insure even grinding of all materials. Interface deviations can now be kept to less than 1 micron in many cases.
The advantages of reduced force grinding are:
